Sharjah: Two Asian men were found hanging in separate incidents in Sharjah on Saturday, according to Sharjah Police.
A 50-year-old Indian man, identified as P.S.M., was found dead in a labour accommodation in Al Saja’a area.
The body was found at around 1pm by a group of workers. They alerted the police after they found the body.
The man was already dead by the time officers arrived at the scene, a police official said.
The official said the operations room at Sharjah Police received a call informing them about the incident. An ambulance, police patrol and forensic laboratory personnel attended the scene.
The man’s body was taken down and sent to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy. Police are investigating the case.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Pakistani man, identified as M.K.T.M., was found dead by suspected suicide. He was found hanging in his house in Umm Khanoor at round 11am.
The man was an employee at a transport company in Sharjah.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and forensics officials examined the scene of the apparent suicide after police reported the incident. His body was transferred to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy. Police are investigating the incident.
