Dubai: Three Gulf nationals have been arrested for using and trafficking narcotics in Dubai.

Two of the suspects were arrested in a hotel following hours of monitoring. After raiding the hotel room, one of the men confessed to the Narcotics Combating Unit of Dubai Police that he was using hashish along with a roommate. He was arrested.

The investigative team planned an undercover operation to arrest the second suspect. The police found hashish along with sedative drugs in the hotel room. The narcotics were bought from a supplier for Dh10,000.

The second suspect collaborated with the investigative unit to arrest the supplier in an undercover operation.

The supplier, known as "Ahmad," was arrested in the second suspect's car while he was trying to buy more hashish for Dh17,000.

Forensic tests carried out on the suspects showed the first two suspects arrested were using hashish while the supplier was using opium and trafficking narcotics.
