It would have been nicer to read the first sentence of this article as "Sharjah Police found a stolen car after a two-hour search on Monday with a baby inside the vehicle." Just a suggestion.

Charging a fine against father is not the right solution, instead conducting various types of continuous awareness sessions through various media such as radio, TV, newspapers, SMS to mobile, etc. to parents/drivers is very important. Implement an order urging all drivers to stop engine and lock vehicle properly while moving out. This rule needs to be implemented diligently to avoid these kinds of incidents.

The parents should be always responsible and alert with those who are with them. never leave the car with engine on. The authorities should instruct authorized person to give maximum fine to give these kind of neglance

It is becoming a very bad trend in UAE - people leaving their cars with the engine on. But even worse, with kids inside. I believe a massive awareness campaign should be conducted for people to be more conscious of what they'd think could be a crime against their own loved one. I often happen to see kids unattended in a running car. Sometimes kids are on the steering while parents are inside the grocery or gas station. I am a father and I urge everyone/ parents to please be more conscious of the consequences you might regret because of NEGLIGENCE. A Caring Father

The parent(s) must be fined by the authorities for leaving the car with the engine switched on and leaving the child without a companion.
