Sharjah police have arrested a man suspected of killing a person.
Sharjah: Sharjah police have arrested a man suspected of killing a person.
Police said the victim died of severe bleeding at the Al Qasimi Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday with several stab injuries on his back and neck.
A police squad during investigations found that the victim had quarrelled with the suspect and his brothers. The quarrel turned into a fight that ended with the victim being stabbed.
The suspect and his accomplices were arrested just four hours after while trying to flee to a neighbouring country.
Earlier, reports posted on some websites linked a well-known athlete to the crime. However, police found that the athlete had nothing to do with the crime, but his brother was the suspect.
The suspect's brothers and some other people were witness to the murder and their roles will be looked into during the investigations by the Public Prosecution.
