Sharjah: The Sharjah Police on Thursday morning officially opened three new police stations in Wasit University City and Al Siuoh areas to bolster security in the emirate.

Al Siuoh will cover an area from Siuoh Farms to Al Siuoh suburbs in addition to 24 police patrols that will be deployed on highways between Al Dhaid and Maleha Road.

Police at University City will deal with all internal issues at the campus and provide them with comprehensive security services.

Major General Humaid Mohammad Al Hadidi, Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police, inaugurated the three new police stations to coincide with the celebration of Police Arab Day on December 18.

He praised efforts in improving the service sectors at the state level that are up to world standards as per the directives of the UAE leadership.

Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Al Dukan, Deputy Commander General of Sharjah Police and a number of police officers attended the ceremony.
