Dubai: Another brothel was busted on Tuesday past midnight at International City following a tip-off from a Gulf News reader, said a senior police officer.

More than 20 gang members were recently arrested from running brothels in International City. The competition and trade among the gangs resulted in violent incidents with one gang member murdered and another seriously injured, as earlier reported in Gulf News.

Following the article about the massive raids on Saturday night in the England cluster of International City, a Gulf News reader and a resident at the Persia cluster tipped off police about a suspected brothel.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Humaid Al Merri, Director of the Criminal Investigation Division of Dubai Police, they received the information on Tuesday afternoon and investigated and raided the place past midnight.

Three Asian girls and a man were arrested for running the brothel, he said while adding that this incident is not linked to the fight that took place at the China and England clusters of International City.
