Prisoners enjoy extended visiting hours over holiday

Dubai: Prisoners at the General Department of Correctional Institutions will enjoy extended visiting hours, religious ceremonies and donations during the celebrations of Eid.

"Inmates were not allowed to receive any food or sweets from outside the correctional institution.," said a police source.

Visiting hours will be from 8am to 9.30pm for non-Arab males and from 9.30am to 11am for Arab males. Female visitors will be welcome from 2.30pm to 4pm for non-Arab nationalities and 4pm to 5pm for Arab Nationalities, said a source from the General Department of Correctional Institutions of Dubai Police.
