Ports Police question British couple
The Police Prosecution has started interrogations in the case of a British couple who were caught engaging in sexual activities on Jumeirah beach on July 5.
Dubai: The Police Prosecution has started interrogations in the case of a British couple who were caught engaging in sexual activities on Jumeirah beach on July 5.
The woman, a Briton, resident in Dubai for the past three years, was caught with her friend on a public beach.
A police officer had warned the couple when he found them on the beach.
When he returned 10 minutes later he found they had not stopped their activities. The policeman tried to arrest them, but the woman allegedly abused him verbally and tried to hit him.
The Ports Police Station referred the couple to the Public Prosecution on charges of consensual sex, public indecency and consuming liquor.
