Dubai: Police arrested two suspects from one of the gulf countries for the possession, abuse and trafficking of 60kg of narcotics.

Dubai Police arrested the first suspect on November 20 for the possession and abuse of narcotics. Upon interrogation, the first suspect confessed about the activities of the second suspect who resided in Al Ain and had trafficked 60kg of Heroine and Hashish worth Dh600,000.

The second suspect (S.A) was arrested on December 4 and had confessed of trafficking 57kg of Hashish which he hid on Al Thaid road in Sharjah and 3kg of Heroine which he hid in his vehicle which was parked in Al Safeer Mall in Ajman.

“The second suspect cooperated with three other suspects who reside in another country, mainly the suspect (J.J) who was arrested, convicted and deported for drug-related crimes from Dubai. He operates now from outside the country and paid S.A Dh51 thousand in order to traffic and sell narcotics in the UAE,” said Major General Abdul Jaleel Mohammad, Director of the General Department of Combating Narcotics at Dubai Police.

Dubai Police is cooperating with the Interpol and local authorites to arrest the three suspects residing in an undisclosed country in Asia.
