Police arrest drug trafficker with 2kg of Heroin in his stomach
Police arrested an African man who had more than two kilograms of Heroin in his stomach with the intention of trafficking it outside the country.
Dubai: Police arrested an African man who had more than two kilograms of Heroin in his stomach with the intention of trafficking it outside the country.
Dubai Police's Department of Combating Narcotics arrested the man identified as F.A.K. after they received tip-off that the suspect was attempting to traffic narcotics outside the country.
Police monitored the suspect closely and searched and arrested him as he was about to depart for the Asian country from Dubai International Airport.
When the police failed to find any banned substances in his luggage, they referred the suspect to Rashid Hospital for an X-ray.
The X-rays showed strange bodies in the suspect's stomach. He was detained at the hospital for three days and 74 capsules were taken out of his body. The capsules contained 2.244 kilograms of Heroin.
The suspect confessed to attempting to traffic the narcotics for $1,500. He was referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigations.
