Photos of hosts land maid in trouble

Abu Dhabi: A verdict will be issued on the case of a housemaid's unauthorised publishing of photos of her host family. The housemaid allegedly stole a camera from the family's home where she was working, uploaded and published the photos on a social website without the consent of the family.

"Photos were posted on the maid's Facebook account without our consent," said the Emirati lady of the house. The daughter discovered pictures of her family posted on Facebook.

When questioned by the prosecutor, the maid admitted she stole the family's camera, downloaded the photos and posted them on her Facebook page. She was referred to Criminal Court to be prosecuted for stealing and abusing the privacy of others.
