Dubai: The Emirati man murdered last month allegedly by his friend was buried in Al Qusais cemetery on Wednesday.

The body of Nasser Ali Nasser, who went missing last month, was found burned and dumped on the UAE-Oman border.

Nasser’s father reported his son missing to Al Rashidiya police station on October 28 and police arrested his friends who he was last seen with.

The three allegedly killed Nasser because his uncle allegedly had killed one of their brothers, investigations revealed.

One of the three men suspected of murdering 21-year-old Nasser, and burning his body out of revenge last October, confessed to committing the crime, and the two others confessed to aiding him in burning Nasser’s body, according to Dubai police.

The suspects were referred by Dubai Police to the Public Prosecution for interrogation.

According to a Dubai public prosecution statement regarding Nasser’s murder the suspects tried to abuse the victim sexually before one of them strangled him with a car seat belt. Then the three men piled Nasser’s body on wood and set it on fire after dousing it with a flammable liquid.

The three men are the primary suspects and were the last people to see Nasser before he went missing.

The murder was believed to be planned and prepared by the three who are accused of driving Nasser towards Mahdha, an Omani border area, to consume alcohol. It is believed one of the suspects reminded Nasser that his uncle had allegedly killed his brother and that the victim tried to dissuade them from killing him and convince them he had nothing to do with what his uncle had done.

The father of the victim said the family had no issues with anyone and that he did not accept what had been said about his son being killed for revenge.
