Motorist seriously injured as vehicle hits electric pole and catches fire in Sharjah

A motorist sustained severe burns after the car he was driving hit an electric pole near Tasjeel Village in Sharjah on Sunday.

Sharjah: A motorist sustained severe burns after the car he was driving hit an electric pole near Tasjeel Village in Sharjah on Sunday.

The motorist was speeding and driving in a zigzag fashion; the car veered off the road and hit the pole and went up in flames, said the police.

The vehicle was gutted and the motorist sustained severe burns, said the police.
