Motorist killed in accident after jumping red light

Police reiterated their call for motorists to abide by traffic rules and avoid committing dangerous traffic offences, after a man was killed in a road accident on Monday after jumping a red signal.

Dubai: Police reiterated their call for motorists to abide by traffic rules and avoid committing dangerous traffic offences, after a man was killed in a road accident on Monday after jumping a red signal.

An official from Dubai Police Traffic Department said a Syrian man was killed in the road accident, on the Al Nahdah Interchange yesterday early morning after the driver jumped a red signal.

He said the accident took place at 2.30am and the victim died on the spot.
