Man jailed and fined in Fujairah for trying to commit suicide while drunk

A man who attempted suicide while drunk was jailed for one month by the Fujairah Appeal Court and fined Dh800.

Fujairah: A man who attempted suicide while drunk was jailed for one month by the Fujairah Appeal Court and fined Dh800.

The Indian national was taken to hospital after he was found in an unnatural state with a bleeding hand.

A medical examination found that he was drunk at the time and had tried to kill himself by slitting his wrist.

He was charged with drinking alcohol and attempting suicide and was found guilty by the criminal court, jailed for a month and fined Dh800.
