Ras Al Khaimah: The Traffic Court has ordered an Indian to pay Dh20,000 for driving under the influence of alcohol. The court also suspended his driving licence for a year.

A senior court official said the alcohol test of the 40-year-old Indian, identified as J.Kh, was positive.

At Al Jazeera Al Hamra, (the entrance to RAK), the person's driving caught the attention of a police patrol as he moved randomly from one lane to the other.

The police stopped him and he was referred to Saqr Hospital to conduct the medical test, which came out positive.
