Dubai: A jobless man denied tying down his teenaged friend and having sex with him against his will when the latter visited him at his villa.

Prosecutors accused the 30-year-old Emirati man of assaulting his 17-year-old friend and then forcing him into the bedroom where he had sex with him against his will after he tied his hands and legs.

"Not at all. I didn't do that. I am not guilty," argued 30-year-old S.S. when he defended himself before the Dubai Court of First Instance.

According to the charges sheet, S.S. was said to have slapped the teenager before he forced him into the bedroom.

He then tied up the teenagers legs with a belt and his hands with a piece of cloth before raping him.

Prosecutors said another suspect [named A. and remains at large] aided and abetted S.S.

The 17-year-old testified that one day he went to visit S.S. around 8am in his residence in Oudh Al Mutainah.

"I sat with him in the majlis. A. was also present. S.S. asked me to go with him to his bedroom because he wanted to tell me a secret. As soon as we entered his bedroom, S.S. slapped me. Then he asked to have sex with me but I rejected. I tried to fight him back, but A. came and assisted him. They tied my arms and legs… then S.S. raped me on the floor. Two minutes later he carried me to his bed and raped me again. I freed myself when S.S. slept and escaped and informed my uncle about what happened," claimed the teenager.

An Emirati policeman confirmed the teenager's statement.

Prosecution records said the defendant has a criminal record.

Presiding Judge Mohammad Jamal Kamel said the court will appoint a lawyer to defend the suspect when it reconvenes on April 22.
