Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah criminal court is going to review the case of a young man with special needs whose 50-year-old Filipina housemaid allegedly tried to poison him.
A court official said that the housemaid worked with the family for seven years, attending to the 21-year-old man with special needs.
The family had two housemaids, a Filipina and an Ethiopian. It was the Ethiopian maid who informed the victim's father before lunch time. She told him that the Filipina maid allegedly attempted to kill his son by putting poison in his food, the official said.
The father informed the police, who promptly arrested the maid. The police also took the food to laboratory for examination, the official said, adding that it contained some type of drugs which could lead to heart failure.
