Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Federal Appeal Court has upheld the life sentence against 10 defendants charged with hijacking the MV Arrilah.

Abu Dhabi Appeal Court upholds sentence issued by Court of First instance
The court upheld the primary verdict issued by the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of First Instance, which sentenced the defendants to life imprisonment and deportation as well as the confiscations of weapons and other arms used in the hijacking operation.
The MV Arrilah was hijacked in the Arabian Sea, east of Oman, en route from Australia to Jebel Ali in April 2011.
