Fujairah: The Fujairah Court of Appeal has jailed an Arab for six months for non-payment of outstanding car loan installments worth Dh35,000.
The court upheld a previous lower court conviction of F.M., paving the way for his bank to peruse a civil court case to try to regain their money.
The convict, a sales agent, had purchased a Dh95,000 worth vehicle and only paid Dh60,000 before defaulting on the rest of the installments.
His Fujairah-based bank started criminal procedures against him, accusing him of deception.
