Sharjah: Four men are to serve five years in jail followed by deportation after a court in Sharjah found them guilty of raping a man, Gulf News has learned.

A judicial official said that the Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance sentenced three Pakistanis to five years in jail each, followed by deportation for raping another man.

The victim was identified as Z.A., is also from Pakistan.

The men were also convicted of stealing their victim's money, beating him up, locking him up in a room on a farm in order to rape him, and for threatening to murder him and cut his organs if he dared to tell police about them.

The Sharia Court also handed the same sentence to their fourth Pakistani partner identified as B.B., for abetting and aiding the three men in their crime.

Police told the court that B.B. drove the victim, Z.A., to the farm where the convicted men were staying.

According to court documents the victim, Z.A., asked B.B. to drive him to a nearby money exchange office as Z.A. wanted to transfer some money to his family in Pakistan.

Court papers showed that Z.A. complained to police that B.B. picked him up from the farm where Z.A. works in the Al Guwair area in Dubai.

But instead of taking Z.A. to the money exchange office, B.B. drove Z.A. to a farm in a deserted area in Al Dhaid in Sharjah.

According to court documents Z.A. saw another three men at the farm. The four men then forced Z.A. to go inside a farm building while one of them, identified as M.M., locked Z.A. in a room to molest him.

Z.A. told police that he told M.M. that he was a man not a woman, but M.M. and the other partners hit him.

Then the three men tightly held Z.A.'s hands and legs. The three men then each raped Z.A., one by one. They also stole Dh4,600 from him, and his identification papers.

They also took photos of Z.A. while he was naked and threatened to kill him if he reported them. Z.A. managed to run away from the farm, went back to Dubai and informed police.
