An engineer was jailed for three months for sexually molesting a stewardess inside his car while dropping her off at work at Dubai International Airport.
The Dubai Court of First Instance found the 24-year-old Lebanese engineer, M.T., guilty of molesting the 23-year-old Japanese stewardess in the back seat of his car.
Prosecutors accused M.T. of sexually molesting the stewardess. His 24-year-old Syrian friend, B.M., was charged with aiding and abetting M.T. by increasing the volume of the radio so that no one could hear her cries for help.
"The accused [M.T.]will be deported following the completion of his jail term," said Presiding Judge Hamad Abdul Latfi Abdul Jawad. B.M. was acquitted for lack of corroborated evidence.
According to the charges, prosecutors said M.T. molested the victim, M.S., by hugging and kissing her against her will.
"I did not do so… I am innocent," said M.T. when he denied his accusations. Monday's judgment remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
