Dubai: A UAE family involved in a serious traffic accident in Oman has been airlifted to Abu Dhabi.

One died and three others were injured in the accident.

When contacted by a UAE national to help bring back his sister and her three children admitted at Nazwa Hospital in Oman following the accident, the Ministry of Health approached the UAE Embassy in Oman, UAE Armed Forces and Abu Dhabi Health Authority to urgently send a plane to rescue the family. The family was airlifted to one of Abu Dhabi hospitals.

Dr Amin Al Amiri, executive director for medical practices and licensing at the ministry, lauded the efforts made by authorities to help the victims.
