Dubai: An electrician confessed in court yesterday that he placed his mobile phone in the washroom and secretly took images of an undressed woman using the toilet.
Prosecutors accused the 23-year-old Filipino electrician with sexually molesting a female compatriot and breaching her modesty and privacy by taking secret images of her while she used the washroom.
"I am guilty sir … I fixed my mobile phone on the video mode and secretly took footage of her while she used the toilet," 23-year-old A.C. said when he appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance.
According to the arraignment sheet, A.C. intentionally placed his mobile phone in the laundry basket so he could take naked images of his 25-year-old compatriot while she was bathing or using the toilet. The recorded footage showed the woman undressed and using the toilet seat, according to prosecution records.
A verdict will be heard on January 13.
