Dubai Police team finds heroin in candy packs
Eight people were arrested on various charges for possessing more than three kilos of heroin.
Dubai: Eight people were arrested on various charges for possessing more than three kilos of heroin.
The drug was smuggled into the country in candy packs. According to a police report, the anti-narcotics department was informed on June 29 about two Afghans using heroin in their apartment in Frij Al Murar.
Upon receiving a permit from the public prosecution, a police unit raided the apartment to find the two initial suspects along with six other Afghans.
The entire group and the apartment were inspected, and the packs filled with heroin were discovered.
They were all referred to the public prosecution on various charges.
