Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, deputy chief of Dubai Police, earlier said the body was found by a passerby about a week ago and from the initial forensic examination it looked like a case of murder.

According to a police report, the woman dressed in African attire was in her forties with average height, thick curly hair and dark skin and was barefoot.

The body did not yield any documents and the woman's identity and method of murder are still under investigation, said a Dubai Police source.

The body was found between two cars, said the police official.

According to Colonel Dr Mohammad Nasser Abdul Razouqi, director of Al Muraqqabat police station, no one has claimed the body or filed a missing person report on the African woman.

The police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person from the photo of the body they have released.
