Dubai: Police have foiled an Asian man's deal to sell 100 heroin tablets to an African man.

Dubai Police's Drug Combating Department received information that an Asian man would deliver 100 heroin tablets to an African man as a business deal.

Major Yousuf Al Adidi, acting director of the department, said they followed the two men and knew that their meeting point was near the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Deira.

The first man handed over a bag with the amount to the second man. At that point, Dubai CID arrested the duo after violent resistance from the second suspect who had received the drugs.

The two men have been referred to the Public Prosecution department on charges of possessing and peddling drugs.
