Dubai police foil attempt to traffic heroin

Police have foiled an attempt by an African duo to traffic more than one kilogram of heroin. Dubai Police's Anti-Narcotics Department received a tip-off that a woman would receive the heroin.

Dubai: Police have foiled an attempt by an African duo to traffic more than one kilogram of heroin. Dubai Police's Anti-Narcotics Department received a tip-off that a woman would receive the heroin.

CID arrested the woman K.M. and her accomplice Eino Y. after he delivered a bag containing 83 capsules.

The bag contained 1.102 kilograms of heroin in addition to an air ticket to an Asian country and $1,000 as the cost of the trip. The two confessed to the crime and were referred to the Public Prosecution.
