Dubai: Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle 2.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine drug through Dubai International Airport to Malaysia.
The Anti-Narcotics Unit at Dubai Police arrested an Asian passenger coming from an Asian country, who was on his way to Kuala Lumpur.
Dubai Police received a tip-off about the smuggling attempt and foiled the bid.
Crystal methamphetamine is a colorless, odorless form of d-methamphetamine, a powerful and highly addictive synthetic (man-made) stimulant.
The suspect confessed that he was planning to smuggle the drugs to Malaysia. He claimed that an Asian man from his home country asked him to deliver the drugs to a man in Kuala Lumpur.
