Dubai: Police arrested two of the four suspects involved in conning a man and selling 12 of his cars.
According to the police, the victim took a bank loan and brought the saloon cars; he then opened a car rental agency in Al Baraha area and appointed one of the suspects as the manager on the recommendation of his colleague.
When the victim came back from vacation, he found the office closed and his cars missing, said the police.
The victim checked with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on the status of his cars and found that the registration has been transferred to another person.
On receiving a complaint, the police swung into action and arrested two of the suspects involved in the operation and recovered eight of the stolen cars. The police have filed to extradite two others suspects who have fled the country.
