Dubai Customs have seized 170kg of cocaine at Jebel Ali Port, after it was found hidden within a shipment of fresh bananas. The cocaine, worth Dhs200 million, came from Latin America and reached Dubai after transiting through Europe. “The shipment weighed a total of 45 tonnes,” Ahmed Al Kharousi, Director of the Customs Intelligence Department, “customs officers became suspicious and inspected the shipment further.
