Dubai court postpones Kerry Winter verdict
A Dubai court has adjourned the verdict in Kerry Winter murder case until June 7
Dubai: The announcement of verdict in the Kerry Winter murder case has been adjourned till June 7 by the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The verdict was originally due to be delivered on Monday.
Dubai resident Winter hasn’t been seen since going missing on August 20, 2008.
M.A. had pleaded not guilty to charges of the premeditated murder of Kerry Winter when he appeared in court in April 2009.
The prosecution claimed that he beat Winter with a baseball bat at her house in Al Barsha, wrapped her body in a blanket and put her in a bag with weights before dumping in the sea.
Winter’s body has never been found despite a long search involving dozens of members of the public and an extensive Facebook campaign.
