This was what happened to a 25-year-old Indian visitor who tried to outsmart the traffic authorities who caught him riding his bicycle under the influence of alcohol and in the opposite direction before he collided with a car and damaged it.
The Dubai Traffic Court of First Instance fined him Dh15,000 for driving a bicycle recklessly in the wrong direction and under the influence of alcohol plus damaging the windshield of a car which he hit.
