Dubai: A British man convicted of having sex on a Dubai beach was re-arrested late on Monday as he prepared to board a flight to London, his lawyer said.
The man, V.A., was due to land at Heathrow airport early on Tuesday after being deported from Dubai, lawyer Andrew Crossley said in London.
Crossley said his client was detained at Dubai airport and returned to jail as his flight confirmation was allegedly "not in order".
"He has been returned to jail, his precise return is now unknown," Crossley said on late Monday.
