A driver has pleaded not guilty to attempting to have sex with a hitchhiker in the backseat of his trailer after picking him up from Jebel Ali.
Dubai: A driver has pleaded not guilty to attempting to have sex with a hitchhiker in the backseat of his trailer after picking him up from Jebel Ali.
"I am innocent... I didn't do it and all his claims are untrue," the 33-year-old Pakistani driver told the Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday. The Public Prosecution charged the suspect, M.S., who lives in his truck, with beating the 22-year-old Iranian victim, M.M., gripping his neck and attempting to have sex with him against his will.
The Iranian said in his statement: "I was hitchhiking from Jebel Ali's fifth interchange to the Al Hibab area. I refused to do as he requested. The second time I warned him that I would call the police."
