Death sentences on three men convicted of kidnapping and raping two girls in a remote farm in Sharjah have been commuted to 25 years in jail by Sharjah Sharia Court of Appeal.
Dubai: Death sentences on three men convicted of kidnapping and raping two girls in a remote farm in Sharjah have been commuted to 25 years in jail by Sharjah Sharia Court of Appeal.
The Sharjah Public Prosecution charged the trio, a Pakistani and two Emirati brothers, with kidnapping and raping two Emirati girls. The men were also charged with consuming liquor and drink driving.
The Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance earlier awarded the three men death sentences.
