Cleaner admits to stealing phone
A cleaner has admitted that she stole a woman's mobile phone from the restrooms of a fitness club where she worked, a court heard on Wednesday.
Dubai: A cleaner has admitted that she stole a woman's mobile phone from the restrooms of a fitness club where she worked, a court heard on Wednesday.
Records said the 38-year-old Sri Lankan cleaner reportedly stole the mobile phone which the Iranian woman had forgotten at the sink while she used the restroom. The suspect, N.S., pleaded guilty when she appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Iranian guard testified, during the Public Prosecution questioning, that she was working out at the gym when the incident happened.
The Sri Lankan confessed to stealing the mobile phone when she was questioned by police and the Public Prosecution.
