Police slapped 800 fines for parking on pavements in a span of 24 hours as part of a campaign to crack down on the offence.
Dubai: Police slapped 800 fines for parking on pavements in a span of 24 hours as part of a campaign to crack down on the offence.
Brigadier Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, Director of Dubai Police's Traffic Department, directed traffic police personnel working during the evening shift to focus on offences of parking on pavements, and parking in bus stops.
He also instructed forming of special teams to catch offenders.
