The UAE State Security Court on Tuesday gave its verdict in the trial of 94 Emiratis charged with plotting to overthrow the government.
Fifty-six of the accused have been sentenced to 10 years in jail.
Eight tried in absentia were sentenced to 15 years in jail. Five were given seven years in jail, and 25 have been acquitted.
The defendants included 81 males and 13 females.
