Sharjah: A conductor of a kindergarten bus was seriously injured and two pupils were mildly injured after they were thrown from the bus while it was turning at a roundabout, Sharjah Police officials said.
The bus belongs to a school in Kalba in the eastern region of Sharjah.
The incident took place as the bus driver was dropping children home from kindergarten.
Police said that while the driver was turning the bus at the roundabout, the door of the bus suddenly opened and the conductor and the two children fell out.
The police received a call about the accident at 12.35pm.
Patrol and paramedics were dispatched to the scene and moved the injured to Kalba hospital.
Police contacted the children’s parents and informed them of the incident. The children were discharged from hospital after receiving treatment, while the conductor is still in the hospital. Police investigations revealed that the door opened as it was not tightly closed.
