Manama: A Saudi man has returned a school library book that he had checked out 32 years ago, a Saudi news portal said on Wednesday.

The man said that he borrowed the book from the intermediate school in Al Naseem area when he was a student there, Al Sabq said.

Moving around the kingdom has kept him busy and away the school, the man, who was not named, said.

"When I returned to Riyadh, I went through some of my old things and I discovered the book," he said.

"I recalled that I had borrowed it from the school and since it was left in my trust, I wanted to take it back to the school. I of course apologized for being late," he said.

The school management, obviously pleased with the former student’s honesty, expressed deep gratitude, Sabq said.
