Manama: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince has paid rich tribute to its founder King Abdulaziz Bin Abdul Rahman and highlighted the success of his country in achieving development and prosperity within an environment of security and stability.

“Saudi Arabia today celebrates its 86th National Day, and all the people recall with great pride the pioneering role of the founder of this glorious entity,” Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz said. “Today, we enjoy the stability and development of a country that has a central status thanks to its strategic location, religious weight and economic significance that places it with the powerful G20.”

Prince Mohammad who also is the interior minister said that the success of development plans and efforts in any country depended on the existence of a secure environment.

The security agencies of Saudi Arabia have been successful both locally and internationally in confronting terrorism, he added.

“Saudi Arabia has presented a security experience that has been largely commended and emulated by several countries in dealing with terrorism and drying its financial resources and ideological feed. Any person with a fair approach can appreciate the high levels of security, stability and prosperity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, unlike the situation in many other countries dominated by chaos, fear and conflicts that put people’s lives at risk and push the state towards further divisions,” he said.

In his statement marking the National Day, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman praised the pioneering role of the founder, in reference to the country’s first king, Abdulaziz.

He said that Saudi Arabia was now looking forward to a vibrant future thanks to the 2030 Vision.

“It is the beginning of a new phase of development and serious action while looking to the future and moving forward alongside advanced countries in order to achieve our development goals while maintaining the tenets of our religion and values,” he said.

“We wish also to salute our heroes who are willing and ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of our religion and our nation. They deserve our deepest respect, and we pray God the Almighty to rest the souls of our fallen heroes in eternal peace and to grant our injured heroes speedy recovery,” he said.
