Saudi Arabia arrests Daesh duo plotting attack

Yemeni Daesh members were planning attacks using 'suicide vests' at defence buildings in Riyadh

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia authorities said Monday that they had arrested two Yemeni members of Daesh who were allegedly planning suicide attacks in the country.

In a statement published on the official Saudi news agency, the authorities said security forces had foiled planned attacks using “suicide vests” at two Defence Ministry buildings in Riyadh.

It added that the alleged attackers were Yemeni, though it did not say when the arrests were made.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition to support the Yemeni government of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi after Iran-backed Huthi rebels forced him into exile.
