Riyadh (WAM) King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia yesterday received His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and first Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister, and Shaikh Mohammad Al Khalid Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

The visit by GCC leaders to King Salman comes as part of mutual visits between GCC leaders and officials to exchange talks and views for the good of their people and to discuss the latest events and developments in the region.

The GCC leaders were received by the Saudi monarch at Al Ouja Palace in Riyadh where King Salman took them on a tour of the palace during which they viewed the historical pictures of the late King Abdul Aziz and artefacts in the palace.

King Salman hosted a lunch banquet in honour of his guests. Shaikh Mohammad arrived earlier in the day and was received by Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef, Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Mohammad attended a meeting that included Prince Salman Bin Hamad, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani and Shaikh Mohammad Al Khalid Al Sabah.

They discussed the latest developments in the region, with a focus on Yemen, and expressed their concern over the developments in Yemen.

They reiterated the supportive stand of the GCC leaders to legitimate Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Yemeni people and their readiness to make every possible effort to support Yemen’s security and stability as the security of all GCC countries and that of Yemen is inseparable.

They also underlined the importance of speedy response to Yemeni President’s call to hold a conference in Riyadh under the umbrella of GCC countries to be attended by all political groups who are interested in protecting Yemen’s stability and security.
