Dubai: Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz said on Saturday that the visit of US President Donald Trump to the kingdom would strengthen cooperation between the two countries and help enhance global security.

“Mr President, your visit will strengthen our strategic cooperation, lead to global security and stability,” King Salman said in a message on his official Twitter account in Arabic and English.
Later, King Salman decorated Trump with the kingdom’s top civilian honour, the King Abdul Aziz Medal,
Centre to monitor Daesh
Saudi Arabia will open a digital centre to monitor the activities of Daesh and other militant groups online, a senior Saudi official said on Saturday, as Trump began his visit to the kingdom.
Mohammad Al Eisa, secretary-general of the Saudi-based Muslim World League and director of the Defence Ministry's new Ideological War Centre, told reporters the centre would open on Sunday in an inauguration ceremony with Trump and Saudi King Salman.
Ahead of Trump's trip, the White House said the president expected tangible results from Saudi Arabia in countering extremism.
