Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC) denounced the terrorist attack that targeted worshipers during Friday prayers at a mosque in Al Ahsa province of Saudi Arabia.

In a speech during the 4th meeting of the first ordinary session of the 6th legislative chapter today, Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, said, “The Federal National Council expresses its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured, stressing that these heinous and terrorist acts are contrary to the values of all religions, and inconsistent with moral and humanitarian values.”

The council also expressed its confidence that this criminal attack and such acts of terrorism that aim to sow sedition and hatred will not succeed in destabilising peace and security.

It commended the considerable efforts made by Saudi Arabia in the fight against terrorism and extremism and its keenness to enhance the security and stability of Arab and Islamic countries for the welfare and well-being of their people.
