Manama: A Saudi national has hired 13 lawyers in Nouakchott, the Mauritanian capital, to recover $7 million from his Mauritanian partner who fled his home country.
The Saudi businessman and his Mauritanian partner planned to invest the amount in establishing a media company that would include a radio station and a television channel.
However, their request was turned down by the Mauritanian authorities, Saudi news site Sabq reported on Monday.
The Mauritanian man reportedly fled his country with the investment funds, prompting the Saudi businessman to file a suit against him.
Sources told Al Sabq that the local authorities had issued a warning to arrest the Mauritanian man whose location has yet to be identified.
