Doha: A large number of job seekers and aspiring students headed to the Third Qatar Career Fair 2010 opened on Sunday.

Around 116 governmental and private organisations are participating in the five-day event at the Doha Exhibition Centre under the slogan "Discover Today. Succeed Tomorrow".

The fair aims to provide jobs, training, development and career guidance and attract Qatari graduates to the labour market.

Many workshops and seminars highlighting and discussing the latest career trends, Qatar’a vision 2030, Qatarisation and education in Qatar will take place during the exhibition.

Nour Abdullah Al Neama, national development specialist at Qatar Foundation, said, “we are targeting Qatari students. We have 533 Qatari nationals working at the foundation.”

“We are offering fresh graduates training programmes if they meet our requirements which include good English, and good computer skills,” she added.

The fair will be open to the public twice daily, from 9am-8pm and on Wednesday it will be only open to females in the morning.
