Manama: Shaikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned, the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) will on Tuesday start a visit to Britain where she will launch high profile projects.

Shaikha Mozah, who has for years been actively engaged in education and social reform in Qatar and has played a major role in spearheading various national and international development projects, will attend the reception marking the launch of Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Publishing, an international book publisher operating from within the Qatar Foundation, according to Qatar News Agency.

She will also attend the launch of the Robotic Surgery Center in Qatar, a partnership between Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) and the Imperial College in London.

During the visit, she will also attend the opening of Qatar Foundation’s Quranic Garden Exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, one of the world's leading botanic gardens.

Shaikha Mozah will be received Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.

In addition to her work at Qatar Foundation, Shaikha Mozah, wife of the Amir of Qatar, is the President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, a government institution aiming to strengthen the role of the family in society, and Vice Chair of the Supreme Education Council which oversees the on-going comprehensive reform of Qatar's K-12 education system.

She is also the Chairperson of the Sidra Medical and Research Centre project to build a premier academic medical center in Qatar, the Chairperson of the Silatech initiative to address the growing challenge of youth employment in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the Chairperson of the Arab Democracy Foundation based in Doha.
