Manama: Qatar Diabetes Association plans to launch a mobile clinic to serve diabetics across the country.

The mobile clinic, to be available within months, will be equipped with state-of-the-art devices to provide medical care for diabetics and vulnerable people.

Three cabins will be attached to the mobile clinic, one for diabetes health awareness and prevention, the second for educational, preventive and treatment services and the third for foot care of diabetics, Qatari daily The Peninsula reported on Thursday.

Kuwait this week said it would soon use its first mobile digital mammography unit to move around the country's six governorates and help with the early discovery and prevention of breast cancer.
